Route Description

Parking can be found south of Water of Hoy, in the layby at Betty Corrigall's Grave.

OS Landranger 6 (Orkney - Mainland) or 7 (Orkney - Southern Isles)

Heritage Information

There are the remains of a coastal defence gun battery at Scad Head. The bed of the incline tramway runs towards the shore, still clear in the landscape.
